Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Back Pain Specialist live on 1080AM KRLD

KRLD 1080 Interview with Dr. John Michels

Radio Host 1: All news, all day. News Radio 1080 KRLD.

Radio Host 2: Now that Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo, is sidelined with a back injury, big question for a lot of people, how long? Dallas doctor, John Michels, opinion specialist says, it could take weeks.

John Michels: The injury that he suffered was a compression type injury. You saw his spine flex forward and it’s that kind of stress that led to the fracture.

Radio Host 2: Romo was hurt in Thursday’s nights game against Seattle. Michels also believes the quarterback has the competitive drive and the physical skills to make a complete comeback.

Radio Host 1: Most Cowboy fans have been getting excited about Dak Prescott, the good news is that you’re going to be seeing a lot of more of him over the coming months. It comes at the expense of Tony Romo’s back. He broke it, it turns out, in that game against Seattle last week.

Stephen Jones: You’re naive if you don’t think when you lose your starting quarterback that it’s not a punch in the gut.

Radio Host 1: Gonna be tough says Cowboys Vice President, Stephen Jones. Now, the team is saying Romo could be out up to 10 weeks, and Dr. John Michels, a pain specialist in Dallas, says that seems about right to him, given this type of injury.

John Michels: The injury that he suffered was a compression type injury. You saw his spine flex forward, and it’s that kind of stress that led to the fracture.
